NEW SEASON, NEW HOPES FOR THE VENTURI FORMULA E TEAM

Monaco, November 30th, 2017 – The fourth season of the FORMULA E World Championship gets under way this weekend in Hong-Kong, and Monaco’s VENTURI FORMULA E TEAM is more ambitious than ever.

NEW ADDITION TO THE ENGINEERING TEAM

VENTURI FORMULA E TEAM’s preparations for this new season began back in August, with the recruitment of Belgium’s Jacky EECKELAERT to the post of Chief Engineer. Jacky brings 30 years of Formula 1 experience to his role at the Monegasque outfit, where he will work closely with the team’s Technical Director, Franck BALDET.

NEW DRIVER PAIRING

A number of drivers tested for the team in the early autumn, and ultimately it was Italian-Swiss driver Edoardo MORTARA who got the nod to join Maro ENGEL, in his second season under Monegasque colours.

“The car is performing better than last year. If we can avoid reliability issues, we’ll hopefully be capable of scoring points in every race. A podium would be great but the team would deserve to finally get that first win”

Maro ENGEL, VENTURI FORMULA E TEAM driver

“It’s hard to know where we’ll be in relation to the competition. Hopefully my first Formula E weekend won’t be too difficult. Whatever happens, I’m delighted with the working atmosphere. I hope we can have some good times together.”

PARTNERSHIP WITH HWA HG

As the Formula E World Championship becomes more and more competitive, VENTURI FORMULA E TEAM is “raising its game” and starting to work this season in partnership with HWA AG in Affalterbach.

“This organisation boasts an impressive record. In the DTM for example, where they are the official partner of Mercedes. VENTURI FORMULA E TEAM and HWA will both benefit from this collaboration. My teams in Monaco, stronger than ever, are working hand in hand with HWA.”

Gildo PALLANCA PASTOR, President of VENTURI FORMULA E TEAM
